NBA Draft Rankings: #10 - 2000
I’m ranking the 10 NBA draft classes of the new millennium (2000-2009). Yes the NBA probably couldn’t be further from your mind right now. But this idea came to me and I just couldn’t let it go.
No. 10 - Year 2000
I don’t think Kenyon Martin’s career showed he was worthy of a No. 1 overall selection. What’s sad is the fact that it was still probably the right choice, judging by the other players in the draft. When Martin and Michael Redd are two of the best to come out in 2000, not to mention six busts in the top 10, it’s a pretty weak class. In fact, I think it’s weakest.
Cream of the Crop – Kenyon Martin, Michael Redd, Jamaal Magloire
Other Top Impact Players – Mike Miller, Hedu Turkoglu, Jamal Crawford, Eddie House, Keyon Dooling
Top 10 Busts – Stromile Swift (No. 2), Darius Miles (No. 3), Marcus Fizer (No. 4), DerMarr Johnson (No. 5), Chris Mihm (No. 7), Joel Prizybilla (No. 9)
