Jason’s Top 5 odd sports sightings for the 2012-2013 sports season

I kind of consider the ESPY’s to be the ‘New Year’ of sports, and to celebrate I’m bringing you my top 5 guys in new jerseys that will require a second look to make sure it’s them.

#4 – Tim Tebow, New York Jets

So much for TebowMania at Mile High. Everyone cursed out the Broncos for selecting Tebow with such a high draft pick, but Denver shoved it back in their faces by creating last season’s most memorable storyline. After all Tebow did for the Broncos I was surprised to see them go for the future Hall of Famer and drop Timmy like phone call without service. The reason he is on this list is because I’m MORE surprised to see him land with the Jets. Really? The Jets? Ok, if everything works out fine in New York between him and Sanchez then I guess it proves me wrong, but I don’t see Tebow fitting in without controversy.

#5 - Ray Allen

One of the best 3-point shooters of all-time has joined what is becoming the Yankees of the NBA. The defending champion Miami Heat will certainly be stacked heading into next season. Ray had become synonymous with the ‘Big 3’ so it’s hard to see him leave Boston. Whether it was Boston, Seattle or Milwaukee, Ray Allen has always been pivotal to the teams success. It will just be different to watch him coming off the bench. I will say that I’m happy to see him bring back his old #34 jersey though. Good luck Ray, I’ve always been a fan.
