Look who helped his team win the 2012 German Bowl. Former UNK Loper quarterback Jake Spitzlberger (pictured above, No. 4) led the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns to the German Bowl crown and won the game’s MVP award. Spitzlberger threw for 480 yards and four touchdowns in the win. Read more on this story here (I had to use Google Translate to read the article, so good luck).

Former Loper, Tanner Fruit, 23, won the Cup. He crossed the finish line four seconds shy of the 31-minute mark. “It went well. … The weather was awesome,” he said. “Nice and cool. Made it a much more enjoyable race.”
